High value-added solutions for strategic markets
RESEARCH INTO SOCIAL, MARKET AND PRODUCT TRENDS IN STRATEGIC AND SUSTAINABLE DESIGN IN HOME TEXTILE COMPANIES
VALHABITAT 2022
Motivation
With this project, AITEX intends to provide strategic information both from a quantitative point of view with market studies, and from a qualitative point of view through information on product, socio-cultural and market trends, obtained through exhaustive research and subsequent analysis.
In 2005, AITEX launched its first qualitative and quantitative prospective studies. Quantitative market studies were carried out in collaboration with experts in the field such as TNS World Panel, GFK and currently KANTAR. These market studies are held in high regard by textile manufacturers and cover Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer.
Objectives
- To promote strategic design among companies in the home textiles sector, providing them with prospective information on qualitative trends (in design), quantitative trends (home textiles market study) and sustainable technological trends, thereby promoting strategic design in companies in the home textiles sector in the Valencian Community.
- To help home textile companies understand the new social and market context, which will be prevalent after 2021.
- To capture, analyse and segregate quantitative half-yearly data from the textile market, analysing data from two periods Autumn/Winter 2122 and Spring/Summer 2022, in a similar way to fashion products, to help understand new markets and detect the obsolescence of targets, markets or products to help manufacturers make strategic decisions.
- Research and analyse the technologies that affect the design of products for home textiles sustainably: design and validate without prototyping.
- To carry out knowledge-transfer activities so that the results can be taken on by companies and transferred into textile products for the home.
Expected results
-
Printing, publication and launch of the habitat trends handbook 22/23.
-
