The volume of waste generated by the agricultural sector demands the recovery of by-products and their reuse in new materials with a lower environmental impact, easier recycling and a perfectly defined life cycle.
Through the AGROMATTER NETWORK, AITEX has organised a conference for manufacturers, where new developments in highly sustainable technical materials derived from by-products or waste from the agricultural industry will be presented.
WHAT IS THE AGROMATTER NETWORK?
The AGROMATTER NETWORK is a group of five complementary Technology Centres (AITEX, ANDALTEC, CTAEX, CTNC and ITENE) in the agricultural, biotechnological and materials science fields, whose objective is to create a network of Technology Centres of scientific and technical excellence in the field of the Circular Economy applied to the development of bio-based materials for technical applications.
The aim is to become a benchmark R&D centre both at national and international level, that will increase the number of R&D projects and technology transfer to the private sector.
This project is financed by the CDTI (Center for Industrial Technological Development), through the Ministry of Science and Innovation, within the framework of aid for “Cervera” Technology Centers of Excellence. CER-20211013.
