Working meeting at AITEX’s new headquarters
The new facilities of AITEX were chosen to host the second plenary meeting of the European project DiMAT. The eighteen partners that are involved in the project reviewed the tasks completed so far in each of the project phases.
In addition, a visit was made to the AITEX multifilament extrusion pilot plant where the textile pilot tests will be carried out, with the aim of improving the manufacturing process of synthetic yarns through the use of AI and digital tools.
DiMAT, European digitisation project
The DiMAT project seeks to revolutionise the European materials industry through digitalisation. With the participation of AITEX and seventeen other partners, DiMAT is developing digital tools to optimise the material value chain and improve companies’ quality, sustainability and competitiveness. The project offers technological solutions that will be validated in four pilot schemes in companies from various sectors: TEXTILE, CRYSTAL, GRAPHENE and COMPOSITES to adapt the tools to the specific needs of each sector. In short, DiMAT is a unique opportunity for European SMEs to position themselves at the forefront of Industry 4.0.
