Quantification of damage to materials such as clothing, gloves or facial shields caused by the effects of electrical arching, with a view to  ensuring that the consequences for workers exposed to these electrical arcs will not be aggravated by the clothing itself. The transmission of calorific energy through the material is also evaluated to quantify the thermal protection of the garment.
