by

AITEX participates in the European InnDIH project which consists of the formation of the Digital Innovation Hub of the Valencian Region (InnDIH), which represents the largest public-private collaboration between the business ecosystem, universities, technology and research centres and public bodies, for the digitisation of SMEs and Public Administration (PA).

After a year since its launch, the European InnDIH project, which aims to demonstrate the impact of artificial intelligence and related technologies on digital transformation and its evolution, has marked a significant milestone by providing assistance to 14 companies in the Valencian Region by assisting them with the different digitisation services that AITEX offers.

This project, which has become a fundamental pillar for digital transformation in the region, has stood out for its collaborative approach between the public and private sector, as well as for its impact on the adoption of cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI).

Project objectives and services provided to enterprises

The success of the project has materialised in the direct assistance provided to a variety of companies in diverse sectors, ranging from manufacturing to services. Through specialised and customised services, InnDIH has facilitated the identification of digitisation opportunities, the implementation of innovative technological solutions and the improvement of competitiveness in an increasingly digitised market.

This has included the development of proof-of-concepts and prototyping of smart textiles, training courses on ICT solutions and smart textiles, advice on project feasibility and grant applications, and consultancy on digital maturity and the use of technologies.

>    Research and development (R&D) in digital technologies: focuses on helping companies develop initial prototypes or proofs of concept for new technologies, facilitating experimentation and digitisation to improve industrial competitiveness.

>    Pre-competitive research and development and feasibility: supports the formation of partnerships between stakeholders and provides technical and administrative assistance for the preparation of collaborative funding proposals, such as European projects.

>    Assessment of digital maturity level and development of technology roadmaps: improves the digital maturity level of SMEs through a comprehensive assessment of their current situation and the development of a detailed strategic plan for digital transformation.

>    Access to funding resources: for projects related to digital technologies in industry by analysing various calls for proposals and funding opportunities at local, national and European level.

>    Training in digital technologies: provides training in digital technologies to improve the skills and competences of workers in the use of digital tools and technological solutions relevant to their specific work areas or industries. This year, the course given by AITEX focused on the design and development of smart textiles, addressing technologies such as electronics, conductive textiles, 3D printing, 3D design, Artificial Intelligence, among others.

How can companies benefit from the InnDIH Hub?

Since its inception, InnDIH has worked to fulfil its mission to digitise the Valencian business ecosystem and the Public Administration. Through its three-stage programme, the project has comprehensively addressed the challenges of digitisation, from initial consolidation to long-term growth and sustainability.

The beneficiary companies have highlighted the added value that InnDIH has brought to their business and operational processes. The consortium, composed of a diverse network of key partners, has played a crucial role in the success of the project by providing a wide range of services and demonstrating its commitment to sustainable growth and innovation in the region.

In addition, the project has excelled in its role as an active disseminator of knowledge and results, working closely with various European and regional networks to share experiences, organise events and maintain a continuous dialogue with all stakeholders.
