AITEX CHANGES ITS HEADQUARTERS
The change of location reflects the continuous expansion of the centre, as well as its adaptation to the changing needs of society in order to provide the best possible service to customers.. The new headquarters, covering an area of 30,000m2, will not only provide modern and improved facilities, but will also strengthen AITEX’s ability to lead innovation in the textile sector for decades to come.
The new AITEX adress is Carretera de Banyeres, Nº 10 (03802) in Alcoy, Alicante.
The evolution of the AITEX Research and Innovation Centre has been characterised by a constant growth in multiple development indicators: turnover, number of employees, number of associates, catalogue of services, national and international projects, innovation services, training activities, etc.
This fact showed the need to build a new headquarters that would house, in a single corporate building, all our machinery and human team, always offering the best service to our clients. Thus, in July 2020, the construction process of the new headquarters began, a project comprising a surface area of some 31,000 m² and 28,000 m² of usable space, which was completed in 2023, with the relocation of 100% of the workforce.
The new building is structurally symmetrical: it consists of two main blocks connected by a third central block. It has two basements, a ground floor, two storeys and a recessed attic floor, internally structured on several levels.
In terms of rooms, the building consists of the main hall, an auditorium, training rooms, two floors for laboratories and research, offices, a restaurant area, a car park and a terrace.
It also responds to the principles of functionality, transparency, accessibility, image, flexibility, so that functional changes can be made throughout its useful life, and sustainability, as the building has the most energy-efficient equipment.

AITEX is one of the five most important reference centres in Europe for the textile sector and has set itself the goal of becoming a reference centre in the cosmetics sector in Spain in the coming years. It focuses its activities on applied research, technological innovation, advanced technical laboratory services, certifications and technical training for companies.
The AITEX laboratories, equipped with cutting-edge technology, are designed to carry out tests, analyses and trials and, in short, to offer comprehensive services that meet the most demanding needs of both the textile and cosmetics industries. The centre works in the sectors of personal protective equipment (PPE), home textiles, fashion, construction, automotive, medical textiles and sports surfaces, among others.
Since its beginnings, AITEX has been a benchmark in the promotion of innovation and technology applied to the textile industry. Its commitment to excellence and the constant search for advanced solutions has enabled it to position itself as a centre of reference at national and international level.

This move represents a natural evolution for AITEX, consolidating its position as one of the five leading reference centres in Europe for the textile sector and its various applications..
For this reason, AITEX invites all international companies interested in visiting the new facilities of the centre, to see the laboratories and experimental plants, as well as to explore the collaboration opportunities that this new headquarters offers. Upon completion of the form with the company’s details, a visit to the new site will be scheduled and coordinated.
