DYNAMISATION OF AITEX’S R&D ACTIVITY AT A EUROPEAN LEVEL
EU4AITEX 2022
Motivation
To define strategic R&D lines for AITEX with a medium to long-term European vision, allowing it to increase its excellence in R&D, cooperate with other European research centres and promote the participation of companies from the Valencian Community in these initiatives.
Objectives
To dynamise AITEX R&D activity in the European context through two basic lines of action:
- Promotion of the participation of AITEX in the main European funding programmes (Horizon Europe, European Defence Fund, ENI, INTERREG, LIFE+, PRIMA, …) as well as in tenders called by the different Directorates General (DG) of the European Commission (EC) (DG GROW, etc.) and its agencies (EISMEA (former EASME), etc.), the European Defence Agency (EDA), etc. Likewise, participation in national funding programmes such as CDTI CERVERA CCTT, RETOS COLABORACIÓN, etc. is also envisaged, as well as possible projects arising from the European Next Generation Funds and the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, in all of which, AITEX participates in R&D projects as a leader or partner.
- Participation in European platforms and other European co-operation initiatives or networks, such as: European Technology Platform for the Future of Textile Clothing (Textile ETP), Biobased-Industries Consortium (BIC), European Technology Platform for Advanced Engineering Materials and Technologies (EUMAT), European Platform for Sports Innovation (EPSI), TEXTRANET (European Network of Textile Research Organisations), European Defence Agency (EDA), ACTE (European Textile Collectivities Association), A.SPIRE (Sustainable Process Industry Association), INTEROP- VLAB. INTERVAL, etc.

-
Attend at least 15 infodays, brokerage events, meetings, workshops, courses, etc. …. where the R&D lines to be funded in the different imminent or future European calls will be identified (as well as deadlines, requirements, presentation of ideas, partner searches/bilateral meetings, etc.) In 2022, special attention will be paid to events, courses, etc. related to the new Horizon Europe programme (2021-2027) whose first calls were launched in 2021.
