DYNAMISATION OF AITEX’S R&D ACTIVITY AT THE EUROPEAN LEVEL

Motivation

This project seeks to define AITEX’s strategic R&D lines with a medium to long-term European vision, which will increase the Centre’s excellence in research and development, collaborate with other European research centres and promote AITEX’s participation highly technological European projects and its involvement in European initiatives such as platforms, networks, etc. An additional aim is to encourage the participation of companies from the Valencian Region in these initiatives.

Objectives

The aim of EU4AITEX2024 is to boost AITEX R&D activity in the European context through two fundamental actions:

AITEX’s participation in the main European funding programmes and tenders called by the different Directorates-General of the European Commission and its agencies.

Participation in national funding programmes, as well as possible projects arising from the European Next Generation Funds and the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.

Participation in European platforms and other European cooperation initiatives or networks.

AITEX’s strategic R&D lines will be identified, analysed and defined through networking and platforms and in projects and tenders in European and national R&D calls. The projects will deal with exchange of experiences, promotion of projects that combine creativity and advanced textile technologies, networking and benchmarking. During their development, AITEX will be able to identify the needs of companies and external R&D lines that will also influence the definition of its own R&D lines.

This will allow AITEX to define strategic R&D lines with a medium-long term vision, to increase our excellence in R&D, cooperate with other European and national research centres and promote the participation of companies from the Valencian Region in the initiatives.

Expected results

Participate in at least ten European projects and tenders, coordinating at least two within the main European and national funding programmes where AITEX participates in R&D projects as leader or partner and in tenders called by the different Directorates-General of the European Commission.

Participate in at least five events of the main European cooperation platforms, networks and initiatives where strategic lines of R&D at European level specific to the sector are addressed.

Participate in at least ten infodays, brokerage events, meetings, workshops, courses, etc. where the R&D lines to be financed in the different imminent or future European calls for proposals are identified.
