DYNAMISATION OF AITEX’S R&D ACTIVITY AT THE EUROPEAN LEVEL

Motivations
To define AITEX’s strategic R&D lines with a medium-to-long-term European view, allowing the Centre to grow its R&D excellence, cooperate with other European research centres and promote the participation of companies from the Valencian Community in future initiatives.
Objectives
To dynamise AITEX’s R&D activity in the European context through two fundamental classes of action:
- Promote AITEX’s participation in the main European funding programmes and in tenders called by the different Directorates General of the European Commission and its agencies , the European Defence Agency , the European Space Agency, etc. Likewise, participation in national funding programmes such as CDTI CERVERA CCTT, RETOS COLABORACIÓN, etc. as well as any projects arising from the European Next Generation Funds and the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, in which AITEX already participates in R&D projects as a leader or partner.
- Participation in European platforms and other European cooperation initiatives and networks.
Results obtained
During 2023, 19 European projects have been requested, with AITEX coordinating 2 of them, and 7 European tenders, 5 of which are coordinated by AITEX. Additionally, 6 European projects have been negotiated, all of which fall within the main European funding programs. Two projects have been submitted under national calls, with AITEX being a beneficiary in 1 and a coordinator in 1 (Expressions of interest from the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, CDTI CERVERA CCTT).
AITEX has participated in 32 events organized by major platforms, networks, and European cooperation initiatives (EUMAT, EDA, BIC, TEXTILE ETP, INTEROP-VLAB, INTEROPVAL, etc.), where strategic lines of R&D specific to the sector have been discussed, including European calls for collaboration.
Finally, AITEX has participated in 41 infodays, brokerage events, meetings, workshops, webinars, etc., where R&D lines to be funded in various imminent or future European calls have been identified (along with deadlines, requirements, idea presentations, partner searches/bilateral meetings, etc.).
