RESEARCHING QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE TRENDS FOSTERING STRATEGIC DESIGN IN HOME TEXTILE COMPANIES
VALHABITAT 2023
Motivations
During 2023, AITEX intends to continue with its prospective qualitative and quantitative studies related to within HABITAT, focusing on home textiles, as we have been doing since 2005.
From a quantitative point of view, we are carrying out Home Textile Market Studies based on consumer data on this type of product; information that allows us to monitor consumer behaviour and detect future needs.
From a qualitative point of view, the work is two-fold: on the one hand, we study the changes and needs within habitat, and together with the Habitat Trend Observatory (Aidimme-Aitex and ITC) carry out published work such as the HABITAT TRENDS NOTEBOOK 22/23 and transfer knowledge to the private sector at conferences, workshops and open days. On the other hand, we work on the qualitative changes that are detected in the Home Textile market by monitoring socio-cultural and market changes and analysing how they affect products.
Objectives
The aim of the project is to promote strategic design among companies in the Home Textile sector, providing prospective information on qualitative (Design) and quantitative (TH Market Study) trends and sustainable technological trends, promoting strategic design in companies in the Home Textile sector in the Valencian Community, transferring the results through workshops and conferences.

With prospective trend studies, innovation in materials, sociocultural and market changes are monitored, as well as how these affect the development of new products.
